Fun Fact: How did the restoration team find the perfect sample of what the original lobby wallpaper looked like? It was behind this plaque!

I knew a guy who had one of these plaques he wanted $500.00 for it.
A similar plaque can be found in Toronto’s beautiful double-decker Elgin/Wintergarden theatre.
There was also one of these plaques in the Capitol Theatre in Ottawa, originally a Loew house. Plaques like this would have also been in the following Canadian theatres, all built originally by Marcus Loew. The Uptown Theatre, Toronto, Capitol, Windsor, Capitol or Palace, Hamilton, Ontario.
Also the Century 1 & 2 LONDON, Ontario, originally a Loew house.
There were well over a hundred of these made there was one in the Loews Vendome,Nashville,Tennessee. The theatre burned in 1967,do not know what ever happened to that one.
I have a photograph of a Marcus Loew plaque that was in the lobby of the Loew’s building in New York City. I took the photo in the late 1970’s or early 1980’s. I may have photos of the demolition of the Loew’s building (which included Loew’s State) as well. They started the demolition on one of my last visits to NYC.
