“In 1960, President Dwight Eisenhower made a whirlwind trip into Staunton and Augusta County, Va. He visited his mother’s birthplace near Fort Defiance, and gave a short speech at Mary Baldwin College. This shot is downtown Staunton on Beverley Street just after his motorcade passing through. That is the most people I have ever seen on that street!”
