“A photograph provided by the Marietta Museum of History shows the intersection of Atlanta and Anderson streets facing Marietta Square in the 1960s. Garland and Christmas stars hang on wires crossing over the road at several places going out past the Strand Theater. At the left side of the photograph, one can see the store fronts for North American Finance Corporation and Saul’s Annex. At the right side of the photograph, one can see the store fronts for Phoenix Furniture, A.D. Little, People’s Financial and a café. Also at the right is the clock tower of the old Cobb County courthouse.”
