The majestic National Theatre, 1911. Designed by Albert Kahn and associate Ernest Wilby, it’s the only surviving structure still standing from Detroit’s old, once bustling theater district (located at Monroe near Farmer St.) It’s future is still being decided as to how it will be apart of the slated development that will be built around it on the Monroe block.
