I remember the Capitol well, my Mother took me and my sister to it almost every Saturday afternoon, we watched such films as the Bowery Boys and Joe Palooka along with many other films of the day. Happy days!
I used to go to this cinema in the early 1950’s. It was known locally as the bughutch, it was not as well appointed as the Odeons but we liked it. Sometimes if you leaned back hard on the seats they would almost fall over. Happy memories!
