The building to the left is going to be renovated soon. The theater’s recent owner has passed away, so that is still up in the air to what will happen. The night club is also closing down and moving.
First of all its screed, not skreed. CinemaTreasures even has spell check. And holes that were hammered through? They must have had a backhoe on the roof then. You could fit a 747 through some of those.
Its still there. The lower lobby was converted into retail but the upstairs lobby area is still intact, as well as some of the aud. The seats are gone and where the curtain was has been completely cinderblocked, but most of the ornamental stuff was left. There are some seats along the walls of the upstairs lobby area, but it doesnt look like anything is being done with this unfortunately.
You can change this to demolished. They leveled the whole block.
I’m guessing all worked stopped? Went by it yesterday and the inside looks like it hasnt been touched in years.

I really hope this doesn’t happen.
This wont be opening until 2014. I stopped by in Sept 2013 and it was still a shell.

Amazing survival my ass. The place is falling apart and has giant holes in the ceiling. Your pictures are pretty good though….if you were 5 years old.
Went by this yesterday and it is still closed/for sale.
Uploaded a recent interior picture
It is now a banquet hall
This is now a cheerleading studio.
The floor was bleached white and changed into a spanish church. The balcony is still fully intact. Just posted some pictures.
Its currently in use as a church. Went by it yesterday.
I uploaded a picture to the gallery.
