Ok theatre… Good place to go with good movies showing up. Also next to a mall!

Great, beautiful theatre. Saw “Terminator 2” here in 1991. Excellent sound and outstanding picture!

This place closed in the early 1990’s (about 1993…). Now there’s a Victoria’s Secret at the location. Saw “STRIPES” there as well as “Star Trek: TMP” and (years later) “Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country”. The theatre was also a favorite place for USAF Academy cadets on weekends. Great theatre with first run movies in a great mall and a bus stop right there!

Hated to hear about this place. Saw a lot of good movies there and spent a lot of time there on Sunday at the flea market. Buying and selling…. :) I distinctly remember one seller had a bunch of bootleg KISS albums for sale. Try that nowadays! Keep regretting not buying a few…

Really nice place and very impressive venue. In 1976, the Emery staged the show “Welcome Back, Beatles”, taking advantage of the mid-70’s Beatles revival. Did anyone else see that show?

I remember “Homebodies”. The TV commercials played off the “filmed in Cincinnati” angle. One of my teachers saw “Homebodies” and said it was just her and her daughter in the theatre. I guess it wasn’t Star Wars :)

I also saw Godspell at the Shubert Theatre in 1973 with my church group. Really good show and an absolutely beautiful venue. I remember the massive chandelier hanging in the theatre. One thing that really stuck in my mind was the lobby poster that advertised the effort to save the Union Terminal. It had an interesting by-line of “When it’s gone… it’s gone.” Anyone else remember that?
