Showing the central auditorium vast dome measuring 85ft in diameter and illuminated by concealed lighting from the edge, these were the days of single light bulbs which junior projectionists spent their morning shifts,changing bulbs and cleaning lamps of dust and nicotine. The central gilded grille also illuminated provided extract ventilation and vast amounts of cigarette smoke.
