It appears to be the same building. By the time I saw it in the mid 1960’s, it had a different look. Also, the angle of the phot doesn’t reveal the lobby area. That would tell me for certain. Thanks for the posting. I would love to know if anyone has later photos ?
I seem to remember that The Mother’s of Invention and The Fugs, two seminal 60’s bands, performed at The Garrick . Each having an extended run. I can’t say for certain but it was probably around 1966.I would love to know if anyone has more information about this.
It’s all been said, but I want to add my regrets- Jahn’s is a big part of my childhood memories. It is forever connected with my many trips to The Keith’s with my parents. .

im back after a long absence from the site. glad to see all the chat about the neighborhood. i hung around crescent street circa 62-65 with paulie gazzarra, speedo, donny laruuffa, foxy and others. anyone ? remember robbie
While looking through a movie book it dawned on me that the last movie I saw at The Warwick was King of the Khyber Rifles . Looks like it was 1953. I was a little kid but I remember the movie very well. Probably not that interesting to most, but it placed it in time for me. Robbie

This theatre is not for sale any longer. It was purchased and is ow enjoying a revival. All summer long they ran a special Independent film series along with their usual booking of current Hollywood films. robbie
i know the other theater’s- this is the one at 323 wall street. the Broadway is not Ulster Performing Arts Center- still completely intact and now used for concerts and stage shows. the operahouse was destroyed.i don’t reallyknow who to ask about details but i will try next time i am in Kingston. robbie
