Years ago I was the General Manager of the Edwards Woodbridge 5. This Flix70 person for whatever reason must have been a big fan of the Woodbridge 5. It was built by Mann theatres but Mr Edwards bought it before it opened. It would have been a much nicer theatre if Mr Edwards had built it. Mann theatres was very cheap
In that picture of Edwards University posted on this website in front of the box office there is a planter. Mr Edwards loved fountains. When I opened the theater in 1984 we had a beautiful fountains where that planter is in the picture
I went from the Edwards Woodbridge 5 as General Manager to the Edwards University 6 when it opened in June of 1984. Of course we opened with Ghostbusters. Also one of Me Edwards favorite movies was Blazing Saddles. We played that on opening weekend. Mr Edwards had a 35 MM Projector at his home online island. He brought in his own 35Mm print of Blazing Saddles!
I remember being the General Manager of the Woodbridge 5 when Risky Business came out. Did you know the person who wrote the script for the movie had it ending with Tom Cruse being caught but the studio demanded he change the ending to he doesn’t get caught. Probably a great decision on the studios part
I remember when I was the General Manager of the Edwards Harbor twin in Costa Mesa when Flasdance came out. It was one of the rare movies that word of mouth was so good our business the second week was actually more than the first opening week @
I also wanted to Mention that pharmacist that gave Mr Edwards the hard time getting the theater opened ended up later going to prison for false billing for prescriptions. Lol

It was a terrible unneeded third movie!
