I worked close to this theater and yes it seemed to have some pretty trashy stuff in 1980 and 81
I believe the Texan drive Inn was also featured in Midnight Cowboy
This was reopened for a little while as an independent theater then closed again and sold to a Lumber company
During the winter it was all Spanish, but during the summer it had typical drive-in movies in English and once a week had Spanish movies.
The Chief was indeed on Andrews Hwy next door to the Westwood. The Westwood was very nice and was managed by my ex wife’s Grandmother. the Westwood even had a private beauty parlor for Mrs. Hodge
