No, the KFC was more south in the parking lot. If you entered at that traffic light, it would be on the right. I think there was a FotoMat closer to where the Wendy’s is. Man, I wanted that Colonel Sanders weather vane off the roof so bad. I’m sure someone has it that isn’t supposed to! :)
I remember, for a while, the year was the admission price, 83¢ in ‘83, etc…
I think the landlord was to blame for the strip mall’s decline. Those buildings were in TERRIBLE shape and nothing was ever done about it. You might remember the bowling alley’s roof, just caved in.
I know you guys are gonna hate me for asking, but, where on the mall property was this theater? I can’t remember for the life of me! I do remember that weird airplane-looking bank that was in the northeast corner of TGI Fridays parking lot. I’m thinking the theater halfway down, just west of Pentaquit Av?
I don’t think this building was down by the water. I believe it was next to the Suffolk County News building. That’s what I had always read. Even the write up says it was south of Main street. The space the Opera House took became an access to the parking lot behind where it was.
Do they still show Rocky Horror here?

Thanks!! Now, what about that weird bank? :)
