Still one of the best theaters in the area. Nice large screens and comfortable reclining seats. Customer service is quite poor though and it’s annoying when you have to walk all the way upstairs for concessions if your theater is on the lower level.
Saw plenty of movies here while I was in college at WVU. Scream 4, Straw Dogs, W., Wall Street 2, Shutter Island, Moneyball, I Love You Man, The Town, The Wrestler, Silver Linings Playbook, Harold and Kumar Christmas.
After the renovations this theater is fantastic. It was great when it first opened in ‘99 and then slowly went downhill. The Popcorn is the best around.
Very sad that this theater closed. Lots of good memories there throughout my childhood. They also were one of the first theaters to start a classic film program in my area where I saw a lot of my older favorites on the big screen for the first time - including Goodfellas, Back to the Future Jaws and Terminator 2. I just hope the industry survives this pandemic.

Overview should be updated to “Originally opened as Clearview Cinemas in December 1998”
I remember seeing Getting Even With Dad here in 1994. I drove past where it was located and they have a sign with a film reel on it. Nice touch.
I recall seeing quite a few films here In the 90s. I can’t recall if it was privately owned or a chain around 1995.

I remember seeing the original Star Wars for the 1997 re-release at the Outer Theater. Great experience.
I saw many films here in the 90’s growing up in Long Valley. I believe the first movie I ever saw was at this theater - Home Alone 2 in 1992.
