At the time I had just moved to the Frisco bay area from Indiana (got tired of freezing each winter) and I thought I would like to see Star Wars at the Chinese theatre in Los Angeles so we took an Amtrak train from Oakland to Los Angeles and ended up seeing Star Wars five times, once each day we were there.
Looks like a fun way to see a movie. We are going down to Diego County this winter to see Legoland in Carlsbad. We just might make a side trip to see this outdoor theatre and experience the outdoor cinema.
Some guy leased and reopened the closed down single screen theatre in my hometown (pop 71,000) a few years ago and tried to make a go of it by showing second run movies but failed at that attempt. Then he changed to showing classic movies but again that failed. When the lease expired so did the theatre.

This theatre reeks of body fluid stench in the back row.

You must mean the Castro near Downtown Frisco.

The Chinese theatre is featured as one of Los Angeles’s tourist attractions on this website about Los Angeles.
