The IMAX at Boro has one of the very best pictures I’ve ever seen - I went to see Avatar: Fire & Ash, which I figured would make the best benchmark o try it out. The 4K laser projection and 3D were just glorious, but the size of the IMAX screen is average for a multiplex and is definitely the smallest one I’ve ever seen - it struck me as more comparable to the Dolby CInema or the Odeon’s own iSense than any other mall IMAX screen I’ve seen, which is no bad thing
SDW, I had a peak at the XL screen, which appeared flat and struck me as relatively small as seen from the seating arrangement. You’d probably have to sit at the front end to experience any noticeable size. I’d like to know the dimensions of the IMAX, which has been installed in one of the huge auditoriums. As ever, IMAX would never tell so we’d need someone from the cinema to spill the tea
