  • <p>Soon they will put what is playing back on the neon marquee. When they have been closed they sold the space out for birthdays. Will just sell the small mid section for names in the future.</p>
  • <p>No pipe organ to play at the Orinda Theatre but Jump'n Jack the Fox Grand Lake Theatre in Oakland organist (on right) enjoyed his visit Sat May 1 at the restored Orinda Theatre. Speaking of the Grand Lake Theatre in Oakland they plan to open mid May 2021 so you can hear Jump'n Jack on the Wulitzer console on Saturday Nights.</p>
  • <p>Rugs all cleaned and new lights added. The showplace of the East Bay is now open for the movie going crowd. Please come visit this restored classic movie theatre venue!</p>

  • <p>Off to the side in a former bank building two more small theatres have been added many years ago.</p>
  • <p>So nice they kept the original large theatre in tact and did not twin It. They added two small cinemas on the side old bank building. Here are the entrance doors</p>

  • <p>The Dominion opened on 9 January 1936; and was acquired by ABC on 24 February 1936.</p>
            
              <p>This aerial photo is dated 12 June 1937 and captures the huge bulk of the 2014-seater cinema and its high, lopsided stage-flytower.  The architect, F E Bromige, certainly threw everything at the extensive façade.</p>
