The fox west coast abeutiful large theatre I saw a decent amount of films there in the early ‘80’s before it went spanish. I took photos of the front a couple days before it was pulled down. it’s nice to see the statue in the courtyard of the hotel but a shame that every theatre in long beach except the art are all gone.. P.S. to lisa in LB if you ever plan on getting ride of you sign let me

the beautiful Imperial probaly the best looking interior theatre in L.B., It' was art deco with alot of swirls and silver I saw many films there including “The poseidon adventure” in the lobby they decorated by putting chairs on the ceiling. It was a great theatre.

I saw many of films at the state I was a teenage movie buff I clearly remember seeing “summer of ‘42” in the balcony it was a bit grubby but a place to be. the horseshoe driveway is all that is left but there is talk of reopening the tunnel that would be cool.

I grew up in the Rivoli theatre when I was a kid in mid 70’s it was a bit run down but i loved it. all seats at the time we’re .49 cents
at night me and my brother would come down and borrow the movie posters as the cases we’re not locked a sad day when it was torn down I asked the workers if i could have the “R” from the marquee he said no. it was torn down to make way for the defunct L.B. mall which lasted only 10 yrs. the rivoli was a cool spot with a manager named Miss Strange. it will always be in my memory :)
