MODERN THEATRE AT ORMOND
One of the most modern and best equipped theatres in the suburbs was opened to the public when the Plaza Theatre, Ormond, which has been extensively remodeled, held its first screening on Saturday night. The building has been greatly enlarged. The seating accommodation of the circle has been doubled, while central heating has been installed. The fittings are mostly of black glass, and the entrance foyer is paneled in maple. At the opening ceremony the proprietor, Mr. H Lester, expressed his appreciation of what had been done by those concerned in the building and fitting of the theatre, and also thanked the audience, which filled the theatre for its patronage - Contributed by Greg Lynch -
