Merrylands Mall Cinema
At the time of the Mall Cinema opening in 1977 experienced operator Jeff Jackson (aged 61) is shown here (left) in the bio box with a visitor from nearby Guildford - David Cooke, an 80 year old former projectionist who recalled screening in the Silent days. Thanks to Phillip Grace of ACMI the lamphouse is identified as a Zeiss Xenosol, while the projector head is Ernemann Model E VIII. Photo courtesy Ken Watkins.
