Roxy Theatre
Roxy co-owner Charles Rupert Norman Owen (1894-1965) apparently had a main career as an upholsterer, moving into cinema seats, and then cinemas, running the Sydney Ramsgate Picture Palace 1923-1949, as well as other ventures like the Nowra Roxy, Scone Civic, Carlton in Sydney, and Gulgong - where he renamed the Prince of Wales theater the Roxy.
