Regent Theatre
Photo taken shortly before 9th March 1928 opening in the Back Stalls, with seating seemingly not yet installed. Through the open Stalls doorway lower center, we see the Entrance Lobby. A Ladies toilet is located out of picture right at the end of the rear cross-over. Clearly shown is the balustrade of the Dress Circle foyer ‘well’ – a feature common in big pre-sound pre-air-conditioned cinemas of this period. (Overhang of the theater Balcony section to left blocks any view of the screen for waiting patrons upstairs.)
