The Skyvue closed on October 9, 1965 with “A Distant Trumpet” and “Robin and The Seven Hoods” and was purchased by the highway department less than two weeks later as it created what would become I-220. It’s been claimed that the highway crews took a bigger bite out of the ozoner than even Ghidrah!
