When Radio Keith Orpheum (RKO) acquired the Hollywood Theater in the Spring of 1931, they eliminated live shows but did have an interesting stunt to show the addition to the RKO logo atop the Hollywood sign. That’s Miss Fort Worth from 1920 and 1921 on the ladder brought in by the fire department. Interstate would re-acquire the Hollywood and re-open the Majestic when RKO’s Texas chain shuttered.
