On page 104 of David Dilgard’s book “Mill Town Footlights The Theaters of Everett Washington”, it is listed that Sky-Vu Drive In closed in 1957. By the years end Sky-Vu was gone.
This Everett Herald article from December 28th 1957 shows a new industrial building for Coast Truck Lines is now standing on the western part of the former Sky-Vu property.
I haven’t found an exact reason why Sky-Vu Theater closed. Another drive in theater in Everett called Everett Motor Movie, opened a year after Sky-Vu (April 12th 1951) and lasted much longer (1978) so perhaps competition may have played a role.
