Sky-Vu opened May 16, 1950. It was operated by Edward J. Bowling. It had a capacity for 250 cars. It was still open in 1957, but had closed by 1958.

Looks like I-5 took out a chunk of the property, about where the entrance road and ticket booth down to the screen were located.

Not completely taken out! Just the east side…

That’s exactly what I said, a “chunk”, not the entire drive-in.

But it might as well have been the entire drive-in. ;)

The former Business Agent for the Everett Projectionists Union local told me years ago that this theater closed due to poor business. He said that one of the reasons for poor business was it’s proximity to the City’s garbage dump and the resulting odors from the dump.
