I remember this theater.I never went in because I don’t speak Spanish. The exterior was outstanding.Didn’t have the interest in old movie houses at the time.
I UNDERSTAND THE NEW MOVIE “THE ALAMO” WILL OPEN HERE.I WAS STATIONED AT FORT SAM HOUSTON AND WENT TO THIS GREAT THEATER MANY TIMES .THE AZTEC A FEW BLOCKS AWAY WAS ALSO A GREAT MOVIE HOUSE.THE MAJESTIC IS A BEAUTY!
My 2 favorite movie houses were not great looking in any terms. The Grand and The Graham in Brooklyn NY .They held special memories for those who attended there. The exteriors were special.Interior were square halls with seats.
Big screens that opened the world for us kids at the time.I wish I had a time machine so I could enjoy them once more.
I remember my brother Carl taking me to see my first W.C.Fields movie here.It was the one with Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy in it.I think the title was NEVER GIVE A SUCKER AN EVEN BREAK.Sadly I don’t remember what the theater looked like.I do remember the location near the trestle.

Hi
Back in Brooklyn we had corner drug stores with soda fountains and corner candy stores but not on EVERY corner.
A drug store on every corner! Why not?
Too bad it couldn’t hold out longer,Brooklyn Heights is a prime location now.
