Every old theatre must had a ghost or two. Back when I worked for the LOEWS MELROSE in Nashville, Tennessee there was talk of a Ghost there he even had a name “Mr. Bowman”,Talk was that he was an old time Manager there who killed himself in the theatre one night,I do not know if this was true, but I did hear several scary stories told by the clean-up people of strange things that would happen while they were working.I would be there after hours many times but never saw or heard anything myself.
I will check out Nicks photo,and no Robin has not posted them.I have the same photos on VHS that I taped last week on Nasville Public T.V.Now back to the Barlen Drive-in.
Do not take me wrong Mike,I just do not have the affection for drive-ins as I do for hard tops.But the more I read about them I can see why people like them so much,in fact the photos I sent to Robin are Nashville Drive-ins.I did not say that drive-ins should not be on C.T.,that is not up to me anyway.To each his own.A lot of the theatres on C.T. are not “Cinema Treasures” to a lot of people,this site was set up to save theatres I believe,but most of them are already gone, how can you save something that is already gone.Keep the stories coming I have some Nashville Theatres on VHS video,I need to find out how to transfer them to disk and post them on C.T.
Mike I went everywhere in this theatre,but I was not looking for rats or mice, I am sure we had them,I just did not see them.I did see rats down at Printers Alley that were as big a dogs,very scarey.Now back to the Blue Mouse not to be off topic.
You said it Mike!!I have been to one movie in the last ten years,pretty sad for a guy who used to work in them 6 days a week and go to a movie on my day off,most of the time free of course.
Thats a great idea Soesbe, have a closed in cell phone,Blackberries room,nothing wrong with these devises but cant people live without them for the time it takes to see a movie.I am glad back in my theatre days nobody had these things to distrack people, biggest problem we had were people talking during the movie.

Never saw of heard of any in my downtown theatre,but I did see and hear of rats in the old PARAMOUNT down the street.
