Nice vintage photo Don.Also Don if you see this post, a photo you posted on the TEXAN THEATRE with unknown people I believe that the man on the right was “TEX RITTER” singer and movie star, also John Ritters father.
In Don Lewis'1937 photo of the box-office I believe the man on the right was singer/moviestar “TEX RITTER”.John Ritters father. The other two are still unknown characters to me anyway. Thanks for the boxfiice article Gerald.
Well Mike Loews was “Tight” if you know what I mean.I believe we did have BOXOFFICE mags,I just did not read them that much I was having too much fun just working my houses and did not read about others then like I do now.How can we be off-topic? You posted this theatre and we are the only ones who have made comments on this site?
So we can be the ones to complain if someone else gets off-topic.Just kidding!
Yes I know but I was not born till 1957,so I do not remember.By the way I believe that I have read that the Bijou theatre was Nashvilles first, now back to the Ritz.
Thanks Mike for the info,I will check if I can find any info on Bijou Amusement Co. First I have heard of them, but by the address they were just around corner from the Loews Crescent.
