(No grand opening ad as a Triplex) @rivest266 they open on June 13, 1980 2 of the 3 screens, work was done during the week. Downstairs was twin and the balcony had it’s own screen upstairs. Between 1980 and 1982 until it closed I saw a dozen movies their when I was growing up.

City Cinemas reopened the theatre briefly as a single screen in 1987 before it was guttered to make it a quad.
Please update, Cineplex Odeon renovated the theatre and combinded the entrances on June 16, 1989 after they renovated the theatre. Grand opening ad in photos. Seating capacity is Baronet 418 and Coronet 600. Total seats 918 Couldn’t locate when the Coronet opened, it probadly open during the newspaper strike in winter of 1963

Theatre closed June 18, 1987 under the name United Artists Twin. Theatre 1 890 seats and Theatre 2 744 seats. At the end, UA was showing low budget movies. Grand Reopening ad in photos section.
