Some more info at the Sedlewick’s Wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sedgwick_Theater
It seems they had a webpage which is now defunct (the Wikipedia mpage has a link to the Archive.org version) – also at one time the “Sedgewick Theatre” and “sedgewick cultural center” became separate entities. Currently, the theatre is being used by the Quintessance Theatre Group (http://quintessencetheatre.org/) which has an active calendar of events.
They did a complete renovation/restoration in 2013. It’s really beautiful and they’ve kept the original décor – a really nice job! Click on their photo gallery tab for new photos. http://regal-ballroom.com/index.html
A couple of before and after photos on their website. It looks like a lot of the lobby décor is original, and the auditorium looks mostly new, but from the before photo, not much was left restoring anyway- the previous renovations were fairly bland. It looks nice now.
Looks like they are under new management – the new website (http://www.ritztheatre.net/) says upcoming event info is on its way. There were three events in November 2014. The gallery has a lot of great interior photos.
Current Google street and aerial views show a large building at this site – doesn’t really look like a theatre. At any rate, there are windows throughout so if it was, it looks like it was completely gutted.
The website has some great interior photos – it’s all a new urban industrial look – probably no old décor was left to save. It’s a good modern design though.
The restoration seems to be going very well – from the official page’s photo gallery, it looks like they’ve basically finished restoring the interior décor – looks great!
It looks like currently the theatre is mainly rented out for events. Their webpage (http://www.showplacebuffalo.com/) does have a photo of the façade which has been nicely restored (Much better than the old photos in the cinematreasures gallery)
The following link shows some nice interior photos featuring the extensive restoration carried out in 2013-2014. They also upgraded the infrastructure and put in digital projection.
The official webpage links to some nice interior photos – interesting to see that the original proscenium arch has been re-created; the original was destroyed in a fire in the 1950s and was replaced by simple curtained walls – nice to see the original back with the native American symbols.
Interesting from the aerial view: Long lobby and then you turn left to enter the auditorium – fairly wide auditorium. But then the stage house is backing up against the street – surprising to see valuable street frontage taken up with the stagehouse!
The current Google Street View, the front is still in great shape, can still look through clear glass on the doors – nothing’s boarded up. I wonder if it’s currently being used for anything. A very ornate façade which (although completely painted white) is still in very good shape.
Looks like the building is closed since the Opera company moved to the Kauffmann in 2011. Their website does not indicate if they still own the building or what its current status is.

The photos in the gallery (above) show a lot of work has already been done – the re-painting is beautiful! Looks like good progress is being made.
September 2014 Google Street View: Building is now vacant, available for lease as retail or office space.

From the photos I have seen, the interior of this Orpheum has been stripped to the brick walls – a long and narrow auditorium.

They’ve done much of their renovations and the auditorium looks great!

Looks like the link I mentioned above was inaccurate. According to the Nor-Shor’s website, renovations are still underway.
According to the below article, the Nor-Shor reopened in 2013 after a $29,000,000 restoration.

The Regent was built in 1916, according to their website.
According to their video on their website, the restoration is mostly finished now; I believe the bulk was finished by 2011.
Is the Congress Theatre close?? Their website is down.
The restored organ had its first concert in March 2014.
