Theatre opened on 4 April 1931 and closed in 1958 according to THSA Archives and the architects were Paul H Jones and Clifford Clayton.

The archives at the Wolfsonian in Florida have a theatre building listed as Islip Theatre in Islip,New York with a date of 1946.The architects were John and Drew Eberson.

John and Drew Eberson worked on this theatre around 1941 but whether they built it or modernised it I am not sure.

Went inside the building recently and found there is nothing visible of the original interior.It is now being used as a furniture showroom.

Theatre opened on 6 Sep 1928 with the film,“Warming Up”,starring Richard Dix and Jean Arthur.It reopened as the Centre Theatre on 25 Dec 1963 and was renamed the Paradise in 1984.

Cinema was built by a company headed by Emile Couzinet,film producer and director.It opened in 1932 and closed in 1976 and was demolished a short time later.The architect was Auguste Bluysen and the address appears to be 163 Rue Croix-de-Seguey.The small article I found also said that the interior decor had been preserved but no indication of where it might be.

Theatre was called New Rex in 1927 and renamed Rexy in Feb 1929.It closed as a cinema on 15 May 1954 and was then used for furniture storage until a fire destroyed the building on 5 Nov 1956.This information is from Alain Miguelez’s book,A Theatre Near You.

The last movie was on the night of 17 Oct 1956.The auditorium was gutted and became a car dealership until 1974.The space is now occupied by Home Hardware.

This theatre opened in 1930 and was lost in a fire in 1939.It was then rebuilt with an atmospheric auditorium and reopened in 1940.It was twinned in 1984 and closed in 1986.There was also another theatre on this site prior to the Carolina which was also lost as a result of fire.
