Thanks for posting that picture. I can remember seeing the remnants of where the playground equipment was in the 1980’s. I also remember how the water collected in big puddles on several rows. The fence in your picture looks to be in good condition, as it got pretty beat up in the 1980’s from the windstorms. Did your stepdad know Larry Fisher? He worked there and eventually became it’s longtime manager.
What happened? This theater was only open for two years and had brand new equipment. How can it get torn down already? Did some giant land developer snag it?

Opening for this season is delayed due to coronavirus. They think they will open in late April.
During the coronavirus outbreak, the Rodeo is open to fantastic business. KIRO TV7 did a great story on it:

That’s an RCA “Old Style” junction box on the speaker pole.
Anyone have any updates on this theater? Did it get open again?

Looks like they had RCA “Old Style” junction boxes for the speakers.
Those look like Eprad brand speakers he’s holding.
I believe Jon Thrift is related to Tom Moyer.
Those are Motiograph in-car speakers made of bakelite. Somebody painted them white.
Anyone have any updates on this theater?
That’s an Eprad “Glo-Top” junction box on top of the speaker post.
I hope someone can save this theater.
Any pictures of the inside of this theater?
Someone mentioned on the theater’s facebook page that the theater’s parking lot is all overgrown with weeds and looks abandoned.
hope somebody can get some current pictures of the theater when it opens!
This is now open. Please update.
Looks like they had Projected Sound brand speakers.
It had a curved screen! Don’t see that at drive-ins very often.
Looks like a great theater and very worthy of restoration. :)
Cry Rooms generally had a speaker located inside it so you could hear the movie.
Reproduction parts are generally available to restore older popcorn machines.
Someone should reopen it. With todays super bright projection lamps, light pollution should not be a problem.
What’s left of the marquee.
Electrical panels.
