The Arden was last advertised in the LA Times in March 1974. By the way, chain should be “unknown” as opposed to independent.

The entire block across from the Home Depot has been razed, and something is being built there. Status should be closed/demolished.

This drive-in was also in Mt. Carmel. I would add it but there seems to be no confirmation that it actually existed other than a sketchy bio on drive-ins.com.

If you use 201 W. Main as the address, the theater shows up. Using Business 59 puts you some distance away.

The St. Marks can be seen in Paul Mazursky’s “Moscow on the Hudson”. The two films on the marquee were “Exposed” and “An Unmarried Woman”. I’m not familiar with the first, but the second was also a Mazursky film.
