There seem to be a number of listings for theaters on Canal Street, but I didn’t see any with the Center as an alternate name. If in fact this theater has no listing, I will add it. Any information would be appreciated:

It’s interesting that the conversion picture is dated 1960, but the sign by the front door refers to an adult theater. I didn’t know there were any strictly adult theaters in 1960.

This photo is somewhat indistinct, but the caption places the theater on the left on West Farmington in Hartford. The date is 1933. The films on the marquee are “Beloved” and “Convention City”:
