Approximate address is 1085 3e Avenue E, Val-d'Or, QC J9P 0J7. The screen actually stood until 2012. I believe the concession building is still on the site.
Actually closed in 1976, a small article in the 16 December 1984 Arizona Republic mentioned the film “The Flamingo Kid” screening in a Nogales high school gym. They mentioned the El Rancho was the last theatre in town and closed down “about 8 years ago”.
OK, the original 1 screen location that opened in 1950 was located at the current address of 101 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Mankato. Its present in aerials from 1949 (probably still under construction) until 1973. A medical clinic now occupies the site.
There was a small drive-in located close to the address of 1925 MN-32, Twin Valley, MN 56584. It however is not present in a 1963 aerial, it’s present in 1982 and 1983 aerials. The concession building appears to remain.
Well Kenmore I found the actual location, it was located right next to the current address of 701 US-64, Plymouth, NC 27962. The vacant tree filled lot is where it was. Interestingly, a newspaper article from October 1954 says this drive-in was destroyed by Hurricane Hazel yet it appears still mostly intact in a 1955 aerial. By the next aerial in 1958 however its clearly been demolished.
This was located at the address of Brooks Rd, Pantego. It’s present in a 1958 aerial photo but has been replaced by a trailer park by 1982. Newspaper ads listed this as being in the neighboring town of Belhaven, ads were present until 1970 so it probably closed in the 70’s.
This was built in 1970 by Bill Pagett, the letters in the name apparently stood for Bill, Laverne (his wife), Brenda (his daughter). It closed after the 1978 season, I don’t have an address for it though.
This was located at the present address of 600 Hunter Hwy, Tunkhannock, PA 18657. Its in aerial photos up to 1982, by 1992 a shopping mall was built on the site and still exists there today.
I found this one by accident, one of those random small town drive-ins, anyway the closest address I can get is 150 Frampton Road, Yemassee. Its actually next door to this, there’s a single large house in the middle of the site. The drive-in is present in a 1955 aerial however by 1957 it looks demolished, probably didn’t last very long.
This one was located on US 385, southwest of the town. The closest address I can get is US-385 & Co Rd 130. The drive-in is present in a 1957 aerial photo but completely demolished 10 years later in 1967. Houses now occupy the site.
Approximate address is 278 Rte 132, Sainte-Luce, Quebec G0K 1P0.
A better address is 364 Rte 122, Saint-Germain-de-Grantham, QC J0C 1K0. As of July 2022, the roadside marquee still existed.
The screen remained on site until 2018.
Not sure when it closed but it was still there in 2007, now houses.
Located behind the hotel at 54 Rte 132 E, Lac-au-Saumon, QC G0J 1M0. The concession building appears to still remain.

Got a name, it was apparently called the “Savoy 45 Drive-In” which makes sense because the road its on is or was part of US-45.
I believe we now have a name for this one, The Dothan Eagle had some ads in the mid 1970’s for a “Dale Drive-In” listed as being in Level Plains.
Apparently located North of the town on M-65 near where Thomson’s Storage is today.

This was located at 2531 Jackson Ave W, Oxford. Its present in aerial photos from 1975 until 1985.
Street number is way off, it was actually located at 563 Burt Rd.
Address needs to be changed to 13740 NY-31, Albion, NY 14411.

A 1957 aerial photo now exists that shows the drive-in at the spot Kenmore is referring to on the topo map.

It may have also been a drive-in restaurant and not a theatre.
