The Bencubbin Drive-in theatre was located in the southern end of Monger Street,Bencubbin. The Drive-in opened on June 11,1965 with the film Bachelor of hearts,supported by selected shorts and a cartoon(not named.). The Drive-in closed about(1980?),partly dismantled in 1980,and then demolished(completely? )–(80’s-90’s?),site now occupied by the Shire(Mount Marshall) Caravan Park. The Bencubbin Drive-in was built for £3000 Australian Pounds on 3 and a half acres, and opened by the Hon G. M. Cornell M.L.A. prior to a free film screening!
