This was taken over by Cobb theatres in 1990 and renamed Cinema 8. It was renamed Bradenton 8 in 1992 and taken over by Regal Cinemas in 1997 who closed it in 2001.

This opened as the Palmetto Drive-In on December 15th, 1962, and closed in 1962. It reopened by Floyd Theatres as the Skyway Drive-In on March 25th, 1970, and closed in 1984. Grand opening ads posted.
