The above photo, is definitely the Trail in Athens Tx.. The screen is no longer there. It was dismantled or demolished a few yrs back.. I believe the ole snack bar/projection room is still there tho..

Ideal Theatre, located at 4306 (Original address is 4304) Bryan Street, in the East section of Dallas Texas. Closed.
“Opened in 1916 as part of Ed Foy’s Neighborhood Theatre chain, the 550 sear Ideal Theatre was popular with children & adults alike. During WW-I, the theatre invited recently returned servicemen to speak about their experiences "over there”. On October 26 1928, a fire blazed through the Ideal, igniting reels of nitrate film & collapsing the roof. The building was repaired & has been used for various purposes, but never again as a theatre.“ Information taken from the Arcadia Publishing Book "Historic Dallas Theatres” by D Troy Sherrod..
Today, it appears to be occupied/used as a Church.
Update! Today (July 2019), it’s now known as Dallas Carpet & Fine Floors.. Open..
The Structure was built Circa: 1916/1919. dcad.org*

The status of the Pawnee Drive In Theatre is demolished. From what I can tell, nothing remains.. Demo’d sometime after 2008 as it was still standing in 2008 per googlemaps… RAC Photography
Every thing I can find on this location, this is in Bakerfield, CA.

The hospital facilities were both built in 1984..
Today,“it appears” the hospital has closed its' doors.
The orthopedic Dr’s offices appears to be active.
This was known originally as The Star Theatre, a silent movie theatre.. Later becoming known as The Palace Theatre.
Today, Western Auto took over the building. The Palace has been closed at least some 55-60+ years.
RAC Photography – The above capture, I took back in Dec 2010!!

The structure that was built after the fire that destroyed the Texan, still stands today. Built in 1944, it’s known (today) as the Main Retail & Lofts..
The Torres & Sons Taxidermy still occupies what was once the snack bar for the Country Squire Drive In Theatre. An April 2019 aerial view (googlemaps) shows that the little projection building is still holding on… With out a roof tho..
Drove by today (Aug 11 2019) & this structure still stands. The 25th St Theatre part of the marquee has been removed. Safety reasons I’m guessing. In such sad shape.. RAC Photography †
A sad note.. Richard (Rich) Peterson, who managed the Astro & the Casa Linda Theatre (Dallas Tx) passed away on May 24 2019.
Rich was a super nice guy. I first met him during the demolishing of the Astro & closing of the Casa Linda. We’ve stayed in touch on & off ever since. I’m very saddened. Rich battled stage 4 cancer for 13 months, fighting all the way. He was a trouper! Rich will be missed by so many…………
R.I.P. my friend.. I’ll remember our IHOP get togethers fondly..

From my understanding, the Texas & Texan was 2 totally different theater’s. 2 different locations.. Anyone??
The structure that was built after the fire that destroyed the Texan, still stands today. Built in 1944, it’s known (today) as the Main Retail & Lofts..
Was definitely in the movie “Midnight Cowboy”. That’s “him”, right side of the capture above, carrying the suitcase.

Sad to say, this ole theatre structure has been demolished!! About 2 months ago (June 2019).. Sad.. RAC Photography †
