Nearby Theaters
Located to the east of town. The Chisholm Trail Drive-In opened by Gene Chisholm on September 2, 1955. He also operated the Chisholm Trail Drive-In in Grand Prairie. It had a 40ft x 80ft screen. It was soon renamed Trail Drive-In
Ending its days as an adult theatre, the Trail Drive-In was closed in 1985.

Demolished(date unknown?)? Site is now a mobile homes sales park.
A closer address is 1007 US-67, Alvarado, TX. It’s not exact, but it is the home next to the entrance.
A 1981 aerial shows the drive-in intact. By 1995, it had been demolished.
Today, a mobile home park occupies the property. There is no trace of the drive-in remaining.

J.P Chisholm of Dallas launched the Chisholm Trail Drive-In Theatre with a soft launch on September 2, 1955. The 58' high screen and fried chicken were hits on that night. The true grand opening was then held on September 8, 1955.
