Thanks. Something is amiss, though. If you follow the Google arrow down the street to the tan building, you can see it full on. It doesn’t look anything like the 6/27/05 photo.
Gardella Furniture is still at 2306 Gratiot, according to their website, www.gardellafurniture.com I checked out the Google map thoroughly and confirmed that the view was the correct part of Gratiot Street. I didn’t see the building, though. The building at 2310 doesn’t look anything like the photo posted on 6/27/05. I even went up and down the street with no luck. I’m stumped.
The San Fernando Redevelopment Agency discussed plans to renovate the building back in June 2006. I don’t know if anything became of that. http://tinyurl.com/59eo4s

I found it. On Google it ended up to be 2488 Gratiot. That’s what was confusing me. I was a few blocks down the street. Thanks for clearing that up.

Here is some information about the performing arts center:

No trace of this theater when I drove by the location today.
I just drove by this theater today. I pointed it out to my wife, along with the Southside and the Congress. Kind of a mini-CT tour.
Sorry about that. There is now a Goodwill store on the first floor, so retail would be the appropriate function.
Which island is this? I saw an open multiplex on the north side of Oahu last year. That was in a shopping center as well.
Sure looks that way. Nobody’s perfect.
The two buildings look the same.
I agree. I don’t know which one is more up to date. The Google photo showed Potzcuaro’s Restaurant, or something close to that.
No se.
Here is a recent picture. The image is not the best, unfortunately.

If this listing is up to date, the building is currently occupied by a Mexican restaurant.

I took a look at the plaques on Saturday. I guess they buried one every year around Oscar time.
Plans are afoot to turn the Del Rio into a community arts center:

The church is no more. Building is vacant and for sale.
Bal Harbor doesn’t seem to exist. Perhaps Bay Harbor?
