Just added a Mother’s Day 1949 photo credit and courtesy of Gayety’s Ice Cream Parlor. Via their Facebook page. Now in Lansing Illinois, Gayety’s was originally next door to the Gayety Theatre. I also added another photo of the postcard, that they have hanging on their milk shake machine.

When the former Liberty Theatre (now Diamond Banquet Hall) at Fullerton and Lawndale was renovated last year, an old sign was briefly revealed—but only a day or two.
Disappointing it was covered up, would have been a nice historic touch for the new business. I believe it’s still under the new tile cladding. Photo and copy credit John Morris.
Just added a mid 70's photo, with "Deep Throat" on the marquee. So the Overview is incorrect that management refused to play hard-core pornography.
Squad car behind the cab puts it around74, but I’m getting confirmation on the year they changed to all white squads.

75. So the Follies was open after74, contrary to the Overview.Just added a mid
