So is it still showing Indian films? Also why only standing crouds? Is it in that such bad condition? Can anyone describe the interior of the the the Roxy or any photos?
Thats sad :(. Any updates on the construction? Maybe they could rebuild one at another location if they have the blueprints. We already have half done since we are keeping the marquee, box office, and some internal fixtures.
LOL, thanks for the info gfinn, funny to think about them covering the decor! Are they all still Japanese decor? Anyone have any interior pictures? I am curious to see what it looks like inside
Wow, before we know it IMAX will be taking over the theatres! Thanks for the news. Maybe I can travel to Lansing to see it! Also Patrick if you are reading this, the add a theatre doesn’t work….
“The theater was reconfigured in 1965, reducing seating capacity from 2100 to 700. During this makeover, the theater was cut in half and many of its seats were removed to make way for a shoping arcade."
That really takes out the glamour and importance of a theatre. At least it’s still in use…
I recently went to see Master and Commander. The marquee looks nice, but the lobby looks like the original but too old, maily a creepy 70’s look, with weird colors. The place just had a creepy feeling to it. They should clean it up more. I think it is indepentantly ran. It shows first run movies.
What a grand theatre. it’s great that you are restoring it. Fomr the clips I rad and photos you are doing a great job, hats off to you.

Seems like a bunch of greedy owners who don’t know anything about history….. we should give them a piece of our mind!
Wow what a large and unique lighted stage!
Odd…
WOW! Magnificent and lively stage view! Is that what it still looks like today? ANyone have any links to any pictures?
