The info above is wrong. This theatre was never closed for ten years. This was a new build. The Squire Cinema, which was in the shopping plaza in the 1970’s and 1980’s, still remains closed and abandoned behind the new theatre.
Hmm. I see what you are saying. Over on CinemaTour I have the Carberry Dinner Theatre listed as an aka for the Carberry, but not sure where I found that information. I’ll have to do further research.
Does this actually show movies? They have no website, no one answers the phone number, and the only mentions I can find on the web are for live music or high school plays.
Will: According to the website of the Palace Theatre their building was originally opened as the Little Princess Theatre in the late 1800’s.
This Palace opened in 2007. It is different than the old Palace which, although also on West Market Street, was demolished in 1986.
Thank you. I’m going to be in Troy next weekend and plan to photograph what remains.
Anyone know where in the building this was and exactly what is there now?
Correct address is 203 Vine St.

This place may be out of business now. No events are posted on their website and it has been awhile since they had anything there.

I’m thinking the Carberry Cinema Classics Dinner Theatre was a later incarnation of the nearby Carberry Theatre rather than the Bristol Theatre.

This should be listed as the Topia Arts Center now.
The Darling was located on Elm Street.
The Pickwick was at 11 East Franklin St. Not sure if it was the same theatre as the Pick, though.
Reopened in 1992 as the Innsbruck Cinema Plus before later closing again. It now stands empty behind OfficeMax.
This theatre is still open as the Asheville Pizza & Brewing Company which is a movie theatre with dining.
