You know, “LawfordTheatre,” the way you are acting is suspicious. Paul Warshaur has been curiously absent from this site lately. It leads me to believe two things:
You are Paul with a new name, due to the bad publicity generated by your real name.
You are not Paul, but your business practices are just as suspicious as his.
SIr, he had to abide by the agreement, he was told by our attorney who knows quite a lot about Paul, the reason he is abiding by it becasue at this point he has nothing to do with that theater, i have nothing to do with him if you noticed , i wrote that the Lawford, would not comment any more regarding anything he had, he agreed that it was not in his best interest (or for that matter GVI’s or Mikes) to make any more comments because since he is being sued for civil fraud, it would make matters worse, and besides that, all the things might be catching up with him. Ther are places i have bought and leased that ARE in the thread above,If you give the city Hall a call of where the theater is (lawford) you can talk to the mayor himself and Terry the economic director, i KNOW that they will have nothing bad to say about me, i never asked nor will i anyting from anyone that i cannot give, in fact, we had another free movie day today for the city, as for the articles, call the Pekin Times, or the Democrat, i am sure they can provide you with these articles, i do not feel the need to hand you everything, i KNOW who i am and what i do, you, however do not, and by your reports above, you have been wrong and when you say things wrong about people without having the back up, it can catch up with you. I am not GVI i have funds to do damage to those that say things that are not true and the reach to do it.

We understand, the reading was it was dire, and that you needed ideals to raise money for the restoration etc, for your community, reach out to them via news papers etc, the way it wsa up there, it was looking for funds to continue it when your community should be doing just that, good luck!

I have been contacted by this group, the name is Laura, i do not know what capacity she is in but i will say this, accusations aboyt honesty have come up, she has attacked the person Lou named above in my emails and in this forum. She has never contacted the people i gave her because she does not think she can get through to a city hall person, we gave them several options and they were sound ones. But it would seem that its not good enough unless its a grant or a give away. She has been nasty in her emails to me and has said some things which do no good for what they say they are trying to do. Instead of giving funds, the ideals that were given would have made them more able to pay for what was needed. At some point and time, things need to change. They have for several years been doing the same ol same ol, and this time its taken its toll.
Ideals were presented but if it does not have a grant in them or if it does not contain a money gift, it seems those ideals are thrown out, but yet they are in ‘dire straits’.
I believe that a systemetic form of re organization should be done, starting with the board that only wants money and grants.
Many people have shared there views.They should work with those people to explore other options then just ‘rasing money'

If you had questions or concerns, why not ask me, its Friday, and now your saying it raised questions, it would seem that again, the proposal to help you in area’s that did not involve direct lending or a grant,you did not want to concider. I might be wrong but coming from someone who offered another way, it fell on deaf ears. I see, i did let them know i was MORE then happy to assume the utilitiy bills AND bring them first run movies all with my equiptment, and then donate it back to them,but i again hope they do good, but it seems that ‘money’ was the best thing, i would have put money in there, just not what they needed i guess in that form,
I have made comments that we would lease the theater and get it back to making money by putting in a total refit for movies, i have been in contact via Laura, but it seems that they want money handed to them and nothing else, i am not sure but it seems that way, i would have gladly helped them and the proposal i had would have had them making money in a short time, and also not have the utility problems,

Hello, we would make it a first run AND what you have, with the current venues we can bring in, bands and positive people including comedy acts, we will secure the funds that it needs, the money brought it would be put back into the theater (we would like to have a very long lease to accomplish this and a low one at that) but the only funds needed would be to pay the people;s wages, the rest would be accounted for and put back in to the non-profits org. At the end of the term, the theater would have been renovated and brought back up for the non-profit group
We specialize in restoring older venues, we would be willing to lease it for a number of years run it and also refurb at our costs, once done, it can be turned back over to you, thank you.
