No I had the chance to open the Loews Park Central a new quad in Dallas in 1977,but turned them down to stay in Nashville.That theatre is already gone also.

I thought the name was spelled wrong,but how it was spelled in the paper.The artical just called here Mrs. Porter Sudekum.(spelled wrong).She gave a watercolor of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church to Fess Parker in 1955 when he was in Nashville promoting Davy Crockett,King of the Wild Frontier.Thanks for your info Dave.

In 1955 Stanley E. Hime was a projectionist at the 5th.Avenue Theatre,he was also doing free-lance photography and took photos of Fess Parker who was in Nashville filming the Walt Disney movie Davy Crockett.

Porter Woolwine was a one time manager of the Knickerbocker Theatre,he was married to a daughter of the late Tony Studekum,former president of the Crescent Amusement Co,according to the May 2011 Nashville,Retrospect,Maybe Dave Price knew him?

Taxi Driver will be shown with a new 35 mm print on May21-23 for a 35th Anniversary screening.We showed Taxi Driver first run for 12 weeks at the Loews Crescent.I plan to go to one of these showings.
