My wife says thanks. All of the notifications go to her blackberry as well as mine. She asked if CT was mad at me because the e-mails stopped showing up. I told her I hadn’t violated any policies recently, as far as I know.
I think the Forum on Market Street in Philly is still showing adult films. Don’t know about 35 mm, though. There’s a hole in the wall in Los Angeles called the Tiki that shows porn as well. I would guess the number of full time adult theaters in North America is under 50 at present.
There’s a good view of the old theater building on Google maps, at the intersection of Polk and Milam. Not hard to spot which building was the theater.
Ed also noted some AKAs in his 6/3/08 comment that should be added to the description.

I get it-you’re ensuring that you get the e-mail notifications. I was waiting for the new link to something, until I figured out what you meant.

The current building at 220 S. Main looks old, but it presumably would have succeeded this theater. It’s a mystery.
Looks to be a parking lot at present.

Well, there was a story there about American Idol auditions at the theater in July 2007.
Nobody told me about this audition at the Westgate:

You have to memorize the numbers-1139 is the NuWilshire, 5 is the Los Angeles and so on. I know most of the theaters that are repeatedly commented on.
The Queen Theater advertised consistently in the Brownsville Herald through the 1940s and up to December 1952, at which time the ads stopped.
