Nice that a church can lay out $14 million.

The description needs to be updated here, the theatre is open with gay porn in the balcony theatre and straight porn on the main level.

Sheepshead Bay is no bargain by any means for multiple reasons. Brooklyn can support more theatres that are clean and well kept.

What do they show in the Millenium theatre upstairs? I bet the two backstage theatres are still there, might make a few dollors to run it as a twin if it could be done cheaply.

These theatres taught me more about film then any book or class could. I saw so many second features I would have never been exposed to in single feature first run houses. Sometimes on 42nd St or at The Thalia you would get a triple bill.

This theatre managed to stay in pretty good shape even after all the years showing porno. It’s too bad the live shows did not work out or that they did not give it another chance showing movies.

If it is not it should be listed under the last name from when it was open to the public which was The 57th Street Playhouse.

Hate to say it but from these pictures the Paramount appears beyond saving.

They blew up a few episodes of Battle Star Galactica from TV and added Sensurround, also Rollercoaster.

What house did they move the Sound of Music to when it left The Rivoli?

The downstairs is original. Read the posts about the hacking of the facade on this site and The Rivoli site, the ends coming.

They are waiting to tear it down like everything else, Ny developers HATE landmark status. Now that the owners of the Sutton have had the perfectly sound facade smashed apart there is nothing to landmark and that will be going next. How the Kings can be left to sit that long rotting and not even make sure that if it is left empty that it’s not vandalized or falling apart from the weather? Any city would tear down the Roxy would tear down anything.
