It certainly wasn’t screened with any extras this afternoon, 2nd Jan 2013. Very, very disappointing presentation. ….and the movie itself wasn’t up to much either!!! Flagship cinemas should give an audience an experience, this afternoon I could have been in any shopping mall multiplex, from ticket kiosk all the way through to the screening!
Here is a website i have opened up to start a campaign going to get the glorious Albert Hall reopen again.
Any feedback would be appreciated and used.

I recently bluffed my way to the rear of the stalls of the Castle, now Lazerzone.
Shocking!
There is nothing left of the auditorium. Every single thing has been removed and the whole auditorium is a 3 level theme park.
The main foyer entrance has all been destroyed together with the old box office. The two staircases to the circle area that were either side of the box office are gone too.
I thought this was a listed building!!!
I read somewhere that the owners were in trouble with the local council for the removal of the box office.
Just this morning I saw ‘Toy Story 3’ here and it was a great presentation and the curtain presentation was near spot on.
To sit in a cinema balcony these days is a rare and fantastic experience!A brilliant place to see a movie.
Sorry, but these were some of the dirtiest theatres I’ve been to in years. If that show they were run Im not surprised people stopped going. Its exactly El Capitain

A really great place to see a movie with great presentation and always a well behaved audience.

Was there tonight to see ‘A Single Man’.
First weekend of its release and just 5 at the midnight show.
The place really needs a good clean and refurbishment.
Yea, there was a small complex in the exact location described a few posts above. I cant remember the name of the company at the moment but it was a real dive of a place. Everything about it was second rate. I went there a good many times as well as the Odeon on the other side of the mall across the main road. Has that Odeon gone now? That was a horrible place too, down some steps into a dungeon- if its gone it cant be missed!
This beautiful building has just been demolished, summer 2020. All that’s left is a huge hole in the ground.

The Albert Hall projection box was converted into the staff room for the bingo staff. The Albert Hall is a listed building, since 1987.

The Plaza Swansea had a magnificent organ.
The building looks very ‘complete’, what is left inside. The foyer areas still very much resemble the foyers areas of a once great theatre.
What was a ‘curtain 'walker’ ?

Better days lie ahead for this gem.
I’ve visited this place around 15 or 20 times in the last 10 years or so and on only 2 occasions was there someone else in the theatre with me.
