The Redstone Cinemas located at Kimball Junction opened on January 16, 2004 by Rocky Mountain Cinemas. The new eight screen cinema with 1,000 seats is the largest in the Wasatch Back. It features a very impressive entrance, stadium seating, love seats, a lobby café, cry room and play area.
The Redstone Development has more than 45 stores and restaurants, a 30,000 square foot office complex and 286 residential units. The theatre is the focal point of the development. It was taken over by Metropolitan Theatres in 2015 and closed in June 2024. It has been taken over by Megaplex Theatres and is planned to reopen later in 2024.
