The theater reopened in August 2021 after remodeling. Now the theater only has 9 screens, all with reclining seats and Dolby Atmos.

No grand opening ad in the paper except for the words “Now open” in the regular showtimes page.

Like three of the other four current locations of the Megaplex Theatres chain, the Megaplex 12 at The Gateway was designed by FFKR Architects of Salt Lake City.
